The Board of Directors is excited to bring you another season of organized hockey for women in Anchorage! Our vision is that each player who skates off of the ice has a fuller heart, fitter body, and richer circle of friends than when she skated on. The board brings this vision to you by providing a league that strives for balanced play at each level, good stewardship of its membership fees, and robust teams filled with the most fun hockey players in town!

We are back to gearing up for the new season. We're also hoping to get back on the ice a bit earlier again (mid-September). 

BOTTOM LINE

Ice costs are going up again this year, and unfortunately, that means fees have to go up.
Spots on our league-managed teams are $426 for players and $220 for goalies.  You'll have the option of spreading out payments in installments during checkout.  FYI,  Sports Engine charges more for this; thus, we have to charge slightly more for this option. 

The season fee for player-managed teams is now $6500.  Your Team Rep will be in touch with the amount of your share and collection schedule.   

Exciting news for this year: We will no longer have an admin fee as that is rolled into the overall fee.

PLAY MORE!

We're offering a League-operated intermediate-level team.  It's a perfect fit for skaters who are new to our league and want to play at this level, and it's a great opportunity for our returning REC players who want twice the ice and a chance to challenge themselves and up their game.

You can do that!  We'll even help you get it going.  It's actually easy to organize with enough rollout time.  email us for details. 

BRING YOUR FRIENDS

Did you know that most women who join our league were talked into it by a friend?  It's easier than ever now, too, thanks to our  Discover Hockey Clinics.  It's one of the best things we do.  The price is right and it's a blast to help women get on the ice and find all sorts of confidence.  Watch the website for details on the dates (TBD August), and get your friends to come play with us!

AWHL uses Sports Engine to manage registration, scheduling, and communication.  You'll be asked to sign in or sign up for an account. *There's a handy mobile app you can download later to help manage your season.
